Resourcing Gender-Just Solutions

Overview

We support and amplify gender-just, community-led environmental and climate solutions while pushing global finance systems to become more accessible, more equitable, and more aligned with lived experience. We resource frontline innovation directly and work to transform the political and structural factors that determine who gets funded.

Why Resourcing Just Solutions Matters

Communities already have solutions, but most funding never reaches them. Structural barriers, inaccessible application systems, political exclusions, and donor-driven priorities reinforce inequities and undermine local leadership. A just transition requires shifting where money flows and who gets to decide.

What We Do

Through our Resourcing Just Solutions work, we:

• Provide grants and fellowships to grassroots and feminist climate solutions
• Advocate for finance systems that center justice and community leadership
• Convene donors, practitioners, and movements to rethink funding models
• Document and elevate the impact of community-led initiatives
• Support participatory, feminist, and community-rooted approaches to evidence and resourcing

Highlights of our Feminist Systems Change work include:

• Gender Just Climate Solutions Scale Fund
• Gender + Environment Data Alliance (GEDA) small grants and research funding
• Finance advocacy toward the Green Climate Fund and climate finance bodies
• Storytelling and analysis of community-led innovations
